Go on a treasure hunt and see if you can find this at Pike's Marketplace. :) Most 'tourists' head over there at some point, but watch our cause they throw fish!

Go check out the grounds around the Space Needle and the views are awesome but I wouldn't pay that price to get to the top.

Head west if you want to take in orca art and Native culture which is my supreme pleasure.

Head east to The Burke Museum at Washington State. Most awesome. :)

^Clarification on her post. The Burke Museum is at University of Washington. Washington State U is in Pullman. But +1 on the rec. I'd visit EMP and SAM, too.

Don't skip the troll! Google map it.

I forgot the troll.

And since you're going that way, the Lenin statue.

Oh, def the Lenin statue. And a margarita at El Camino, a tour of Theo Chocolates and bridge dining at Ponti.

Do you remember when Archie McPhee was in that crappy building in Fremont in the 1990s?

That was before my time.

I didn't move here until June of 2000.

I always forget you are 10 years younger!
PS: People don't know it's me yet. *heh*

Ageist!

Speaking off food...

Have you ever eaten at the Pacific Inn Pub down there on, what, around 34th'ish and Stoneway? It's just two blocks up from where Northlake Way runs into Stoneway, and site of the first place I worked at in Seattle. Also the same road you take to the troll.

They make a fish and chips there with an IPA batter and cayenne pepper that is just phenomenal.

God, I want to go there right now!

I'm also now craving that awesome Dim Sum place down on Jackson in the ID.

I forget the name of it.

I'm just glad I live near a QFC that has a huge Jewish food section. I have to try to make a dish to take to my friend's Mom's house on Thursday night for the upcoming Jewish Holiday.

I just hope everyone doesn't die from my cooking.

I have! It's been a few years. I had a date there once that went all wonky.

Harbor City? Jade Garden? New Hong Kong?
I don't think the ID has very good dimsum, I like Bellevue better. Don't tell anyone I said that.

If it isn't in Seattle proper, it doesn't exist to me. Especially the east-side. I loathe the east-side with a passion.

House of Hong is the name of the place. I've never sampled much dim sum, so I'm not as much of a snob as you, and thus wouldn't know if it was fit for the foodie 1% that you represent.

OK, off to shower and salivate thinking about fish and chips and dim sum.

Dude. I am the 1 percent. :sinnyboobs:

Shwew! Good catch ~ thanks. Was there last summer. http://www.burkemuseum.org/

My mom got a ticket for not displaying it properly even though she put it in the dashboard window. Its supposed to be adhered to the driver window I think.
