But how does the climax come if it's a lame story or if a certain part is ugly? Do you just lose it and have to find another story??

it's much more convenient to read erotica, especially on my smartphone. however, I'll find a good porn site and then get hooked on it for a few weeks, until it loses its effect.

I do watch porn, but I'm ten times as likely to get off to a good story that fits my kink. This is especially true since I've found very little video porn that fits, but plenty of stories.

For me reading a really well written story gives me the opportunity to visualize it in my head. I'm usually sopping wet by the time I'm done reading! Kitten
