I haven't heard him in many years, but back then, he was masterful. Incredible radio. Sawtooth edges and well-carved single-sentence takedowns and a revivalist-preacher's sense of pacing and build. Plus music! I thought he was aces.

All the outrage will do nothing but triple his listenership, while simultaneously getting the birth control thing passed. No one stop, please.

OK, that's why I don't get him- I've only ever heard the bad jokes. Some of those are pretty funny. I like the one about the NFL. Sports are violent. Social commentary=win. I bet his bad jokes are circulated so much just because they're so bad.

Which is the point. It's a freak show. Nothing that resembles news or information. Amy Goodman isn't as nearly as "entertaining" with all the torture victim interviews and stories of dead children from drone strikes.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. There are people who watch this show as if it's news and don't get that he's joking- i know people who do that with Daily Show to, and you have to be like, "Dude, that's not Walter Cronkite (sp), we're watching Comedy Central."

Who has ever called his show news or information? It's a syndicated radio talk show. It's entertainment.

When you got to a comedy, do you walk out complaing that it wasn't a documentary?
