1st time ever reading and loving it!

Never even thought about erotic fiction before today and just read Halloween Favor (just a random click really), and I'm hooked!

Most people say men are visual creatures but after reading some of these stories I think it may be time to rethink on that as you can supplement the stories with your imagination. I'm very open to new ideas and thought I'd try something different. I'm thinking I may have to try suggesting my wife read some of these stories. Anyone have any suggestions on how to suggest it to her? She's not a prude or anything but at times we can be embarrassingly English lol!

Hmmm. Be honest but tactful? Tell her you found this site, the stories excited you, you'd like to be excited with her, and you'd like her to try reading one? If she says yes, don't push -- let her read it alone if she would feel strange with you in the room.

I know what you mean, though. My husband and I have thought about things, tried different things -- it's a little daunting, but well worth it if both of you keep the lines of communication open.

Thanks for the advice. I'm probably over thinking it to be honest. We have done plenty of taboo things in the past but they just seem to occur naturally and I don't remember ever discussing them, sometimes after a little alcohol loosening of inhibitions, other times things just happened in the heat of the moment.

Importantly, I don't think she would ever be offended by me suggesting we try something, it's just that we never actually have talked about sexual topics in detail, and things have just kind of happened.

We both have this weekend off work so I think I'll cook her something nice and open a bottle of wine to get things going and go from there.

I think it would be good to get us talking about sex as I think that would make things even more adventurous as I've found today after reading my first story, words are very powerful and good at stimulating desires!

I wish the world had been more open about sex in my youth - It would have made my life and that of my late wife much more interesting. The things that I've learned here have opened my eyes to an entire new world of sensation.

Lit is great for that! If I read something I love, or something I would like to try, I tell my hubby about it-- and sometimes ask him to read it on his own time. I have noticed a few new tricks here and there. We are working at our sexual relationship, and sharing stories has helped a little!

As others have said, you should talk to her about your new interest and idea. Then why not take a look at different stories and find one or two that you think might appeal to her or to the both of you? Maybe she likes horror or romance or science fiction, etc and is curious about an erotic story in one of those genres? She doesn't have to jump in to erotica if she's shy or uneasy about it. Maybe even take a look at something non-erotic on the site, first.
My own wife has no interest in reading anyone's stories on this site, except mine. That's fine. I don't read many stories on this site myself, but I've probably read about 20 over the two or three years since I first found this site. Everyone's tastes are different.

This is all well and good if you know that she likes the same kinds of things that you do. However, in the interest of hooking her as well, when you make your pitch, tell her about all the different categories. Tell her that if a certain category makes her uncomfortable, she doesn't have to look at it, but that there are plenty of others to choose from.

And as was stated before, if she seems uncomfortable with you there, give her some alone time. My husband and I watch porn together very occasionally. Usually, we prefer to be alone in the room.
