I started casually tweeting recently for amusement however this week we had a bit of a local emergency and I decided to check twitter for info. Believe it or not I was able to find out a lot of information. It's like the ham radio of the internet.

this reminds of the fact that i'm about to actually join facebook. i don't want to, but my niece is moving to california to make money in a manner that hopefully doesn't involve porn and i figured it'd be an easy way to communicate with her. she's okay with it, but she scared me when she said it was okay because i wouldn't yell at her over what she might post. she's right about that, but now i have to wonder what the fuck she puts on her facebook page. i think it might be a good idea to avoid checking out her pictures.
