What's your lowest rated story?

I just gotta new comment on one of the first, and lowest rated (2.83) stories I submitted to Lit. I reread it and don't think it's so bad, other than some typos and mixed tense issues.

So I got to thinking. Let's post links to our lowest rated stories here, and see if we can't get some better response from a friendly crowd.

This is masturbation story, and a true account of a time when me and my favorite online sexting partner decided to take a brake from our X-rated chat sessions. Hope you like it.

Interesting and original concept for a thread

Very clever idea, peebudy. I'll try to read yours and comment on it tomorrow when I have a little free time. In the mean time, here's my lowest rated story:

Her Hunger Ch. 1

It's a three part story; parts 2 and 3 scored high enough, but for some reason this chapter tanked.

read. enjoyed. rated and commented!

something I forgot to mention was what was the obsession with how dark the bathroom was?

Anyone else care to share their red-headed step child? if you do, post the current rating average so we can see if this thread has any positive effect.

3.75 or something from my Earth Day story last year.

I was shocked too, because I really liked it and thought it was nicely written. But I think the reason for the score is that there was zero sex in it, just a woman exploring an outdoors fantasy- it was in the exhibitionist catagory.

This story isn't without flaws, but it is much better than a 2.83 score would indicate. I don't normally read this category, and when I do, I am more interested in reading about female masturbation than male. That being said, you did a very good job describing the urgency that was felt after a weekend apart. I can relate completely to the desperation of checking and rechecking every contact point between you and your partner, yet coming up empty handed time after time. I could also relate to the urge to just lock the office door and squeeze one off at work. The partial privacy of an office is a temptation that I have succumbed to on more than one occasion.

Overall, a good story flawed by spelling errors, but otherwise deserving of a much higher score. I hope this thread gives it a bump.

Lower scores don't necessarily mean bad writing or stories, just may not be hitting the expected buttons here, especially if you post in Loving Wives.

no, as soflbbwlvr pointed out, it was some bad writing! if I had taken more time to proof it, it might have been rated higher, cuz I think it's a pretty good story line.

The current formula for "traditional" Loving Wives stories, those in which the wife has sex with one or more men other than her husband (check the oldest stories in the category if you dispute the traditional label), is as follows:

1) If the husband forgives her, a score above 3.5 is impossible.

2) If the husband enjoys it, a score above 2.5 is impossible.

By impossible, I mean Skakespeare couldn't write a story of this type and garner a score above those mentioned.

However, if high scores are your only interest then go with option:

3) Wife and lovers are tortured, then killed. In this case, you need only spell every third word correctly to garner a red H. Bonus points seem to be given if Hubby remarries the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who has loved him forever, because he's just that wonderful a guy.

I didn't say it was bad writing. It did have a high number of misspelled words, but otherwise, I thought the writing was good.

Sometimes, when I'm tired of not getting ANY reaction to my stories, I write a story that I know they will hate. Midnight Confessions is a loving (i.e., cheating) wives tale that got a 2.56 score......Carney
