The guy on the left was Big Joe Grimes, who was purportedly 754 pounds. I doubt it. He was 6’4″. He died when he fell through the floorboard of a cab and the injuries became infected.

The guy on the right is most likely a security guard. I doubt he’s a copper.

Mismatched pants and shirt is a dead give-away.

But the point is well taken. A carnival freak in 1904 is just an ordinary guy today. An ordinary guy that will probably live longer than the average person in 1904.

From marginalrevolution-

Average life expectancy was 47.

There were 8,000 cars and just 144 miles of paved roads.

Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California. With a mere 1.4 million residents, California was only the 21st most populous state in the Union.

More than 95% of all births took place at home.

90% of all physicians had no college education.

and to think

we used to have persons of stature as President

and now we have a

CARNIVAL FREAK

If the poster similar to that on the wall in the waiting room at KRCC is true, then the average person today is as crazy as people who were "institutionalized" in the 50s, because what they considered crazy we actually need to function now, whatwith the over-stimulation and whatnot.

Americans are fat. This is not a new fact.

People weren't fat in the early 1900s because they didn't have factory farming- their food was scarce and full of "nutrients" rather then "chemicals". Hell, even my grandpa's generation didn't have folk who were both fat and malnourished; one used to cancel the other out. But that's not been true in my lifetime. I saw some skinny republican bitch on TV talking about how poor people were fat and therefore not malnourished. I was like: WTF? It really seems like they'll just let anyone go on TV and say anything.

Thank God our society has advanced to the point where fat bastards are no longer consigned to wearing short pants, tiny waiter coats and/or diminutive sailor hats.

Simple

You said that Rick S had a FUNNY NAME:rolleyes:

I aked you

"Funny? Funny like the name BARACK HUSSEIN OABAM?"

Where the fuck was teh answer....COWARD?

Oh, I assumed that was a rhetorical question. As far as I know, Barry's name's not a synonym for the goo I suck off my man's dick when he pulls it outta my ass.
