Fact: The law does not explicitly address gender selection as legal or illegal ( it also does not address millions of other things)
Fact: It is my opinion that the intent suggest gender selection is not a valid reason for an abortion. ( This does not mean a girl can not lie and make up any of valid option she wants)
Fact: My opinion is supported by your own Health Minister and every article available. It is also supported by the fact your government is investigating said Drs.
Fact: Your opinion is that it is legal , but yet you give no reason why you think this, cite no case law, or anything else to support you opinion other than Sean says so.......

Abortion is a true hot-button for a lot of folks, and most will give knee-jerk responses, based on some ideology they haven't thought through.
A liberal will usually knee-jerk a yes answer because it's a woman's right to choose. Fair enough. But through in the caveat "She wanted the abortion because she found out the fetus was mixed race," or"she knew if vrought to term the child would be gay", and the avereage knee-jerk responder blows a mental fuse. Somehow, terminating a pregnacy because it's a lifestyle inconvenience is fine, but doing the same based on percieved racism or homophobia is immoral or unethical.
I suggest the same scenarios to right wing nuts also: Abortion is immoral and a crime against God, but throw in the same fetus is mixed race or gay (especially gay) scenario and watch them sputter...

Actually, I think aborting a baby on the basis of its sex is unethical. However, I still maintain it isn't illegal.

The other two points are irrelevant. If any charges are brought, it will be for fraud, not providing gender based abortions.
