I don't know you at all. I didn't like your use of a racist term, and said so. And I don't care if you think she can take it, that's not the point, it's using those terms at all. They are not funny. They are rude and hateful, especially in a thread that was started as as serious question that doesn't have anything to do with race. It's one thing to state that the condition is more common in light skinned people, because that's a medical fact. It's another to say what you did. And I don't need an alt to hide behind. I have no problem speaking my own mind.

"White dude" is a racist term. lol. Since I am white I am entitled to use the "D" word. Why is being white offensive in any way unless you know more than your alt should know. And what would that be?
 
I guess any reference to race is considered racist now.

This was the original statement. It's saying that because she's dating someone with psoriasis he must be an old white dude...it's sounds derogatory to me, partly because this was a serious discussion, someone asking for advice, and you turned it into a joke. While your comment might not be strictly racist, it was in poor taste, in my opinion. That's what I was objecting to. I'm white too, so I have no problem if you want to call yourself an old white dude. My original statement was that it was uncalled for, not that it was racist. It doesn't matter at this point, since apparently the OP wasn't upset by it. I just hate seeing someone with a genuine concern being made fun of.

You can't pick up the race card once played. +1 on holding back on your reason for recanting your racist claim. Can't be admitting to knowledge that you should not possess. +1 on recognizing that it was a joke. Beyond that, you have no knowledge whatsoever of any history I might have with Funk. Her dating a flaky, white dude is pretty funny.

The fact that you don't care is part of who you are -- it is because of your character and who you are as a person that you don't care about his condition. If that makes you more attractive to him, then it's still you he is attracted to.
 
When you see him again, you should totally say, "Well, aren't you a sight for psoriasis!"

He'll love that.

I don't have psoriasis, but at one point I did have chronic urticaria. Dating was the last thing I wanted to do back then. I was miserable, itchy, and frequently pretty scary looking. There was no way in hell I was going to let anyone see me naked. And that was the reason for my 6 years of celibacy.
 
Do you think there's a chance that Lady F is dating Doll Parts?
