Adjudication deferred is legal mumbo jumbo that means after she completes the condition of her probation it gets wiped away most likely.
Reading all the crap they left out some crucial information due to the victim being a minor I suspect. He appears to be a willing participant in the case as it appears the sexual dialogue was two way. That said they could run into problems convincing a jury he is a victim. Also the allegation of her knowledge of his true age seems under dispute. Appears to be his word versus hers.
My question is what inspired him to turn her in since he was a willing participant? I'm not claiming she is innocent but what I have read it appears her attorney could muddy the water enough for an acquittal. Like many defendants she took the way out of least resistance with an opportunity to expunge her record which was the way to go since regardless of adjudication her career is over.
Sound reasonable?
Very...
...imwo.
Most by now have seen the high-profile coverage GracefullyYours's arrest incurred: TV, endless news reports, etc...
...no surprise, either, considering the nature of the alleged crime involving a school administrator. I've seen video of police taking computers from her home, etc, so this was definitely an intensive criminal investigation and a highly publicized arrest.
But...
...when all was said and done, the court orders exactly what you describe above - and even the probationary Sex Offender tag will be exonerated from her record - truthfully, I don't know if I've ever heard of that in such a case.
So, the question one must ask is "why"...
...after everything has happened, after all the evidence is judged, how can a perp eventually walk away legally clean from such seemingly devastating circumstances?
