There have been a few occasions within the past few months where women have hit on me and asked me for my number.

I am not in any position to be in a relationship.

How do I talk my out of this situation?

I usually give them a fake number (the number to a muffler repair shop in a really bad neighborhood).

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. Have you considered making yourself more ugly so women aren't forced to ask you for your number. You could put rips in all of your clothes and put dirt in your hair, for instance.

You could also pretend you don't have a phone number. Tell them you are from Europe, where they don't have phone numbers. Nobody can call each other in Europe.

Mayhaps you could tell them that you are gay, as you suggested. That's a good idea. Tell them you are crazy for the men, just like them. But make sure you aren't telling the truth! Ha ha.
