For the late-night crew

Understandably.

In other news, a half hour or so ago I went out to the driveway for a smoke and I swear there was a bear poking around in the park. I hope he hunkers down again for a month or so and doesn't starve.

They don't sleep if they have a food supply.......

Right...I'm afraid the unnatural warm weather woke him up. There's no browse out there right now, just sticks, so he may have to resort to nuisance behavior. I hope he just crawls back in the den and mutters himself back to sleep, dreaming about Lit chicks or whatever.
He would be a few miles from real wilderness, so my thought is being tranqed by fish and game is a lot more likely than starving.

I have no way of knowing this, but my suspicion is it's the cub we saw in the park last spring. He's got a fair amount of woods to run around in, up over the hill and further...he's in easy range of places like Lakota, if you remember that place. Lots of woods. But in any case, unless he makes a pain of himself with dumpsters and bird feeders, he's likely to starve somewhere private and some game guy will have to scoop him up in the spring when he starts to stink.

Hah! You know, I never did learn how to ice skate. The last family outing when I was still rather wee my mom broke her arm, so it kinda fell out of favor. All three of her kids watched her skate backwards over a shrub and fall down. Not a one of us said a word. She was so proud of us.

new timer here! :D

Wow, I have to ride this person's coattails by saying HELLO? It's like mostly everyone in here has been posting in all these longass, neverending threads for years and I just noticed recently.

Welcome to it, Cheebs. Pull up a chair and have a drink.

So this, Laurel's thread and what else is out there besides the other Lit-like forums? Is there a morning crew and neverending afternoon thread?

When I was a kid, the local school yard had a figure rink, a hockey rink and a speed oval. You knew where the kids were in winter. They were skating. If you didn't have skates, there were some inside the double door to the school.

Thanks, but I'm still a bit shocked. Makes me wonder what else I'm missing with sooo many members on ignore solely for having neverending threads or clogging the main 1st page.

Yeah, it's a skill I still wish I had picked up. Not much point now.

I've never understood why people hate neverending threads.
