Feeling kinda cold and uninspired...even though temperatures are not bad, I am getting them...anyone else?:(

My Worst Habit - Rumi

My worst habit is I get so tired of winter
I become a torture to those I'm with.

If you are not here, nothing grows.
I lack clarity. My words
tangle and knot up.

How to cure bad water? Send it back to the river.
How to cure bad habits? Send me back to you.

When water gets caught in habitual whirlpools,
dig a way out through the bottom
to the ocean. There is a secret medicine
given only to those who hurt so hard
they can't hope.

The hopers would feel slighted if they knew.

Look as long as you can at the friend you love,
no matter whether that friend is moving away from you
or coming back toward you.

preparing for their Spring.” -Rumi

absolutely beautiful...

NorCal is begging for more winter water. We're being fooled by an early spring without enough snow to later feed the reservoirs. Snow industry businesses are not doing well. My well is one of the best in the county so I'm fine but it takes power to pump up water to maintain the landscaping that should be supplemented by rain.

Lack of light effects people.

no where even remotely close to dance and i did check out the moon rising...which usually makes me happy.

The point isn't really to cheer you up, but if it's cool where you are it wakes you up. Well it wakes me up. Just don't rush indoors when it starts to get uncomfortable.

I want to stay under the electric blanket...

As always are his words... as you know.

Breathe deep. Not assuming you do not, but see things a bit differently, as you did the rising moon. The bare trees of a forest, or even on the side of the road as you drive by... in their barren state, how it allows you to see deeper within, not obscured with foliage. An interesting and another vantage point.

How the crisp air makes everything clear and sharp as opposed to the summer when distance is obscured with haze.

There are many marvels of winter. As I mentioned, I am sure you already know this and are aware; but sometimes hearing... reading it, can remind us.

I guess that is the thing we are not having a winter or spring here...it is a strange thing...

heh, Spring has yet to come.

Feeling in a bit of limbo? The sense of wanting to stay under the electric blanket is a cool weather thing, so I gather you have a sense of winter. Not your usual, but it is definitely not a spring feeling.

So while it is an odd winter, it is none the less, and the aspects of a winter are here. Then again, not sure where you are, I think, if I recall, slightly south, but not so south as to normally have things blooming now.

I heard a bird last week that I normally hear in the mid to late spring and summer. And today a rather large flock of geese flying in formation. Odd.

we had a small preview last week...tree frogs singing and had a flock of robins...but both are gone now...I want the green curtain to rise again...

The day is coming when not even the glorious changing of seasons will inspire a man's heart...

...for the way of the world is to suck the very soul out of everything spiritual.

Alashatalabahondai...

The natural world is one of my refuges...

Tree frogs? Wow!

Where I am it is going to get more cold. It waxes and wanes this winter.

But tree frogs? Damn!

And yet as I know it will get more cold before the winter is over, I can't help but think that even that won't persist for long because the animals know better and sense the coming temps. They are telling us that now.

heh, You are further south than I thought.

I like the little chirpy sounds. The frogs that sound like crickets.

spring starts with pussy willows and frogs. summer is lightening bugs, fall is the leaves and winter is when crickets go silent...
