I have written many of my stories at work, but only on weekends, early mornings, in the evening, or--most often--during a long lunch hour. I have used my own laptop as well as my office PC. In either case everything is saved to a USB drive that houses all of my story files.

Yeah, I get some of my best writing at work. I've written stories in previous jobs as well.

Work computers have firewall from hell. It would send up alarms if I tried. However this old fart has a smart phone, but big thumbs. I like shorter, "action" type stories. I don't think I would have the patience to write longer stories that go into detail. Am at work as I write this.
