Ive written a number of stories here and never known whether to submit them as a full, say, five page story or break it into chapters as others seem to do. Personally, I see little point in picking up a story at chp 3, on the other hand a 7 page story may be a little much. Is there a handy rule of thumb? Thanks.

Sorry, no rule of thumb. The site has a gigantic readership, all with separate likes and dislikes. Just take a stab at what seems most sensible to you.

I always have the same problem with longer stories. In contest, it has to be submitted all at once, no choice here. If you submit them in separate chapters, you need to make sure to keep it interesting enough for the readers to come back. If it is five or less Lit pages, I would usually go with one submission. There is no set rule here.

If it's lots of chapters then by all means go with seperate submissions. If the chapters are short you can always combine a couple when submitting.
Probably not much help but good luck.

As SR says, no rule of thumb. My guide is that I don't have the time to read anything much beyond 10k, so I generally don't post anything longer than that unless it's a contest.
