I just redid my insurance, and my policy requires that I list all electrical appliances in case of damage.
I was shocked at what I have...

2 fridges
2 freezers
microwave oven
breadmaker
rice cooker
electric frypan
slow cooker
magimix
blender
toaster
flat sandwich grill
icecream maker
kettle

3 desktop computers
2 laptops
2 laptop cooler pads
2 tablets
2 printers
5 mobile phones
1 house phone
2 fax machines
5 tv's
3 dvd players
2 hard drive recorders

2 vacuum cleaners
washer
dryer
2 irons

2 complete sets of electrical tools (drills, grinders, etc)
high pressure cleaner
air compressor and tools
mig welder
stick welder

... and I haven't finished this list!
No wonder my electric bill is so fucking high

Your proof that Australians DO leave the largest carbon footprint.

I'd need a pretty long cord - about 1.1 km long!

Mine is buried between the two houses. It took some careful planning and digging by moonlight, then planting grass seeds over it.

The neighbor will never notice. They have 3 kids and sleep with the lights on.

That would be because of my cars :D all 4 of them.
I refuse to own anything with less than a V6 in it.

It's OK.

I deliberately waste water when there. I turn on all the hot water in the hotel bathroom, close the door, and let the steam de-wrinkle my business clothes.

I mentioned this once to someone there and they got really pissed!

We should have a week long party at warrior queen's house in Australia.

Also, koalabear has a monopoly on the coal at his house.

If you hurry, you'll make it in time for tonight's meal - cayenne-spiced turkey and lentil burgers on homemade 9-grain bread, with salsa and homemade tomato relish.

i seriously need a dose of whatever you have. it's the 9-grain bread that has done me in. where should i put my clothes?

Everything I have runs on coal.

*shudders*
*knocks hands against sleeve and a black cloud rises up*
Goddamn it... I hate this place.

As far as electronics... just appliances? What all counts? Everything I own is electronic.

Must have a battery vibrator, I don't see it listed under appliances.

I have most of the usual appliances, and in the tropical Queensland climate the air-conditioning plant is the main user. However, I do not buy electricity but generate it myself using a 1954 Lister cold start twin cylinder diesel engined generator. The single cylinder version is the one shown in my AV.

Most of the time I use waste vegetable oil to run the engine, sometimes this is margarine, obtained from the factory which makes it. I get that when they clean their machines down. Occasionally I make adjustments and use waste engine lubricating oil as a fuel, but it is tricky to clean adequately before use.

This particular engine has run the property's requirements for the last 17 years, and runs 300 days plus each year. The chromed innards of this slow speed engine, (800 rpm, and that's upped from the original 650) look as though they left the factory yesterday.

Where do I get one of those? How much is the diesel fuel vs what a utility company would charge you?

I have a few buddies with hunting cabins up in the hills. They have wind generators that make the cabins 100% off the grid. They even have some transmitter thing that the buddies can monitor on the computer at home and see how much power is being generated/stored when they aren't there. I suppose if they had a really long extension cord, they could sell the excess back to the utility.
