-"Hot"

-"Cool"

I do not know what they mean, but they are annoying. >:/

Fuck man... alright- I had to do this for a buddy of mine who was learning English.

"hot" means "attractive"
"cool" is a turn-of-phrase that means something hits your personal standards of "good". We use it to indicate interest.

Hot and cold are relative words. To a chunk of ice orbiting in the Oort Cloud, an ice cube in your freezer is "hot".

Did you see that they found a trans plutonic bigger than Pluto?

Then can't that just be Pluto? I really don't understand why we can't just find the biggest object in that belt and call it Pluto. I was raised with Pluto- and I feel really sorry for it. Not getting to be a planet just because it's small. What kind of message is that sending?

You should feel sorry for Jupiter; a little bit bigger and it would have been a star.

"Cool" is a word that will never go out of style. No matter what context it is used in. It would be uncool to stop using it.

Maybe "hot" can be substituted in slang with "hawt" - as in describing how something or someone that looks good. I would not describe boiling water or 100 degree temperatures as "hawt" though.

I am cool with "hot". It would not be cool to stop using the word "hot". Nor is it a "hot" idea to stop using the word "cool".

Yeah, but wouldn't that fuck us over like every other two star system? Having just one star makes us feel special. Jupiter at least gets to be a planet. Pluto doesn't even get that.
