I want to talk hockey, I am a Pens fan.

Ridicule away..... But seriously, hockey...... Go!!

if you want to talk hockey??

start at the begining montreal!!!! 24 time cup winners;)

At least the Sens are doing ok this season. Though the west coast trip this week wasn't good. :(

Just saw the Pens beat the Lightning in Tampa a few days ago. My first live hockey game... a lot more fun than TV.

They've been on quite a roll since then!

My four fave NHL teams are LA Kings (my home team growing up, yeah!), Montreal (but yes they suck lately), Ottawa, and the New York Islanders. I still remember the Islanders as the great dynasty when I first started following hockey as a kid. I think maybe part of the reason I started following Ottawa, Montreal, and the Islanders though is because I always sort of thought of those places as a bit exotic when I was a child. Montreal and Ottawa because they are foreign and snowy and a lot of French is spoken in both places, and for some strange reason I always had this romanticized image of Long Island as a child growing up in California. It seemed so banally suburban and middle class and yet so far away and strangely exotic. I was an odd child.

So jealous. Never seen the Pens play, much less an NHL game.

Minnesota fan here and was really hoping for realignment next season. Sick of staying up til almost 1 sometimes watching the Wild on the west coast.

I never followed when I was a kid, my grandma took me to the local college games but no one else in my family likes hockey. So it wasn't until I was 20 or so that I started watching games with my other half and he is a pens fan so that's how I ended up a pens fan. Total bummer Alaska doesn't have a hockey team.

Tell me about it! Many east coast games are played mid day here... While I am at work, or crazy early on the weekends. Lame

Alaska - Anchorage is in the WCHA. Best college hockey conference in the country.

I believe UAA is leaving the WCHA though, we have the Aces for the ECHL and they are pretty good. They are one of the feeder teams for st. Louis I think.

36 NCAA champions, including the current one.

Speaking of champions,
Let's Go Rangers!
The class of the East, along with Boston and Philadelphia...both of whom the Rangers have beaten.

Doesn't help that the Big Ten wants to start a hockey division which means the loss of the Gophers,Badgers and possibly Nebraska - Omaha. Just too many great teams in Minnesota to break off those rivalries.

I am a huge Pens fan myself!

Go Malkin!!!

and that is pretty shitty of ovechkin to opt out of the all star events, and that the NHL let him

Ove is just a total douche!! Fuck him.

Malkin is definitely kicking ass at the moment. It's great to see the team flourish despite all the injuries.

And they are seriously sucking, this year. Denver is coming to town this weekend and will prolly take all the points home.

Yeah I have been to a couple games this season and there hasn't been much going on. No idea what they're doing out there

I am a Rangers fan, so this year has been outstanding!

The "Atlantic" is from top-to-bottom the best division in the NHL.

It should be the "Central" but Columbus fucks that up. I'd love to see Rick Nash in a Blueshirt though.

I like anything "Original Six" and think San Jose's great fun to watch too.

It will be interesting to see if the Flames trade Jarome Iginla.

It does suck actually but there are just too many teams in the East. I think teams like Detroit and Chicago would be a good draw in the East but we hardly ever see them. If you try to balance the schedule more the Western teams wind up with huge travel stresses so what can be done?

I think they should stop the crazy European stuff too, or at least don't screw a team as badly as the Rangers were to start this season.

excuse me if i dont feel sorry for the Rangers considering they are leading the conference currently
