1st welcome home parade for Iraq vets

I doubt it's the first.

I suppose there could have been some in smaller cities that didn't get any press. So 1st in a city someone gives a shit about.

there has been a huge controversy around holding parades since Afghanistan is still going on

I don't know. I don't care for parades. I don't even read Parade magazine in the Sunday paper.

People give a shit about St. Louis? ;)

I know when I got back I didn't want a parade. I wanted a goddamned Cinnabun and would have been quite pouty if you'd forced me to walk down your street accepting praise instead of attempting to get a cinnabun (turns out that 9 months of low fat foods takes a while to get over and the mere smell of a Cinnabun made me sick to my stomach, but I still wanted one goddamnit.)

Unless I'm mistaken, they've actually been home for a few weeks. Plenty of time for Cinnabuns.
