... I have already -
cleaned the house
cooked 3 meals and frozen them
made 10 veg soup
written 2 quick articles (500 word, so easy done)
done 3 loads of laundry
balanced the accounts
tied 5 new flies and greased the reels
done a 6km walk
handwatered and fertilised the vege garden
and fixed two sections of reticulation in the garden.

It is now 1300, and the rest of the day is mine :D

What fills your day?

I just had to comment, because that is one spectacular ass. Jaw dropping fact. In regards to the post though I love to sleep in and cook a big breakfast and then do any work I have to for the day and then relax wit a good book/ movie. At least this Time of year when it's this cold I like to.

I painted a wall. That's why i at 3 AM can't sleep. My bedroom smells of wet paint.

And yeah, ditto on the ass.

I'm sorry, I've done that before. In winter with no open windows that's gotta be terrible....

For the paint smell - a couple of candles, and a flat saucer of white vinegar will soon take that away!
My ass is kinda achy today - did the BIG HILL (capitals, because it's so fucking steep!)

I keep forgetting that north of the equater is cold!
I woke up to 18*C at 5am :)

yeah it's a wee bit chilly here. 0* C if i remember my chemistry right. right around freezing if I don't. I like it cold though it reminds me that I don't have to stay busy all the time, sometimes it is nice to stay inside and relax a day away.

Technically, I have no lazy days.
There's always something to be done on the farm, and I have 7 more commissioned pieces to write.
But I have till the end of January to write them, and all the animals are happy, hay is stacked and housework completed, so I am making an executive decision (gotta love being your own boss!) and taking the rest of the day off.

Ooo..knitting or crocheting? I just finished a knitted dog for my cousin's little one today.

I also wrote a five page paper for my Health Policy class, signed up for a knife skills class with my husband, and tried to rest. Chronic pain sucks, particularly in the cold, wet weather.

Knitting or crochet?
I can do both - courtesy of my mother's teaching/force - but haven't done either for a while!

crochet.
I made a score at the thrift store of several dozen balls of caron country merino blend wool. In foresty colours. I paid about six dollars for the whole stash.

I was thinking of making an Alpaca wool coat this year, using Afghan stich (uses a LOT more wool).
One of the ladies down the road spins her own wool from her herd, so it may happen if I can get the energy/mindset!

woke with the crochet hook still in my hand and the yarn wrapped around the fingers of my left hand.

didn't lose the stitch.

Oh, I'm so jealous...sounds like you got a great deal.

got several bags of wool, to work through, begun carding, and pulling through the ditz or dits.

Haven't mastered the drop spindle, yet.

I almost passed out. They were still sealed in their bags. Packs of three. Astounding.

oh the yarn feels so good, does not burn on my fingers like the acrylic does.

Urk! I hate the feel.of acrylic :(
The alpaca wool is very similar in feel to Angora.

I have such a problem with some yarns--while there are tons of different yarns I'd love to use, I just can't tolerate touching them long enough to work with them, so I understand.

And I love bamboo yarn! (If only it were a little more cost effective.... :) )

I fell in love with a baby alpaca yarn that I would love to make an afghan out of. It's just gorgeous.

If it makes anyone feel better, I am currently wearing a very comfortable knitted sweater. Although i did not make it. I fully endorse your knitting!
