Sometimes I hang out in Brighton Beach just to check out the Russian chicks. If national bodies of females could be said to have a character, the Russian's would be "gun moll". They've got those hard, bruised, ever so slightly asiatic eyes, a perpetual expression somewhere between a cringe and a sneer, and a fashion sense that bypasses all Anglo notions of good or bad taste. I like to check them out from my mountain bike, which makes me invisible since they won't look twice at anyone without a bunch of jewelry and an expensive but tacky vehicle.
