This question was asked a few months ago when the execrable MSNBC convened a panel consisting of Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O'Donnel, Al Sharpton, and for balance, Joe Scarborough, to discuss the debate it broadcast and mediated.

The only thing more laughable than MSNBC mediating a Republican debate is offering Joe Scarborough for "balance."
