I just got one of those bull shit telemarketing calls from some guy with an Arab accent telling me my Windows computer is infected with a virus. The call display listed the number as "1-222-555-7777". I wish they would have women with sexy voices making these bull shit calls instead of some douche bag at a call center in India.

I like to keep them on the phone and waste their time for as long as possible before telling them I use an Apple computer. So a sexy voice would make it more fun.

but if they were telling you you had a virus, that sounds more like a scammer.

Most telemarketers at that level are paid minimum wage by the hour, and either aren't responsible for finite quotas, or will be gone by the time they have to meet them. Wasting time is a blessing in that job.

Ask them how many #s they dial that they know are bad...or how many times they leave bad numbers in the system on purpose to waste more time.

I fully agree it's a scam but it involves them selling a product (downloaded anit-virus program) so it is also telemarketing.
