It's just a cold snap. We get them this time of year. It will be cold for 1-3 days and then things go back to normal. It'll be 80 in Orlando over the weekend (which is actually a bit warm for this time of year).

Is that why people have heated pools in Florida? So they won't freeze over during the cold snaps?

Stay calm. Must admit I missed that.I think these temps. for Florida are fairly routine but the fact it is warmer in Boston seems a bit peculiar. Strange winter all round I think.

Depends on where in FL. The panhandle probably drops into the 30's a few times a year. Cent Fla drops into the 30's once or twice, and it's very rare when you get deep into south FL.
Understand, for most of FL this is a once a year or once every 2 year event.
