There's a few that come onto lit that claim to be able to find out real life details from posts and pics put onto this site.
Isn't that how all this alt/outing of poster's happened?

I am issueing a challenge - find something specific about me in r/l!

I'll make it very specific... I challenge someone to find the 3G phone number of my GalaxyTab (apparently, this can be done).
I post from my tablet more often than not, and I never turn it off.
The tablet is registered in my real name. Although, I am NOT giving permission for my real name to be posted, but you can certainly use the first initials of my names with the appropriate number of stars following to indicate how many letters there are.

Have at it!

Now, I really don't care if someone finds this number and posts it, because I have 4 more unused sim cards I can change it to.

If someone actually gets it right, I will post a pic of my tablet with the number displayed in the settings page.

Those same people who come on here and say how easy it is to get details/IP addresses never say how long it takes to do so.
I just spoke to a friend in banking security, who tells me it should only take minutes for a serious hacker.
So, to be fair, I'll give 24 hours.

Good point here. The OP was posted 8.42 EST. Since that is the time zone in which many of the posters reside you pehaps give it an extra 4 hours or so to catch the evening crowd.

Otherwise I have no real idea about this.

I've never tried to get a phone number in that way. I assume it can be done but I'm not sure it can be done via a message board. We don't have any more information than you give us.
I could probably get your name and address and home phone if you have one. I think you've given out enough info to make that possible. Don't really have much interest in it though. It's no fun to fuck with someone in a different country.

Look through the board, and there's heaps of posts that say "I can get all your details so you better watch out!"

My theory is, if someone can get my IP, then they can get my address and name. If they have that info, they should be able to get my tablet 3G number.
I'm pretty sure my tablet has it's own IP as well.

Just so people know, I have been hacked before. So there's no point looking for my banking details or anything like that, because that sort of info simply isn't online (I love our opt-out clause here).
