A question of piercings and clamps

Okay, I know this is probably a stupid question
If your nipples are pierced, can you still clamp 'em? Been thinking of getting one or both pierced and it got me wondering.
It's not a deal breaker or anything. I'm more worried about accidentally ripping something out. I'm a little clumsy :(

Yes. Just not straight away. Allow for the healing time, plus a little bit.

And be a little bit more careful, because yes, you don't want to get snagged and tear anything.

I find the clamps hurt a hell of a lot more now though. Tolerance levels have dropped. YMMV on that point though.

Thanks! This is helpful :)

I had my slave 's nipples pierced. Because we were into BDSM I hat then pierced close to the aureole. This works well for most BDSM play in general as they are much harder to pull out and clamps specifically as they don't clamp on the bar or ring directly. When the clamp is directly on the ring or bat it hurts not in a good way.

As for healing time think of three months and more if there is any leakage. Once they are FULLY healed you can have a hell of a lot of fun with them.

I will throw out there that it's easier to clamp with barbells than rings, IME.

Thanks! That's good to know about where on the nipple to pierce 'em, I was curious about that as well. I'm learning so much!

Also, if anyone makes it down the thread this far, has anyone experienced desensitization after getting pierced? I imagine there's a risk, seeing as how it involves puncturing nerve endings.

Nope. Most people will tell you that it's heightened. Losing some sensation is possible but not common.

I was wondering about that as well, thank you! Rings kind of scare me, seems like they would get ripped out more.

I find that the bars tend to get tugged on and snagged more, especially in the shower, but for clamping, rings do hurt less.

I went from very little sensation to "OMG don't stop touching!" when I pierced. Like hyper sensitive now. But I had a friend who just felt bad pain after hers were done, even with just a light brushing.

I lost some sensation in mine after piercing, but I expect that it was because the piercings were rejected both times because of a nickel allergy I didn't know I had rather than because of the piercings themselves. Admittedly, I've never had a lot of feeling there, anyway, so it's not like I really lost much.

Ah, okay. Good to know!

Eeeeeek

I have mine pierced, and my sensitivity has gone up, from very little to WHOA do that again. I don't have clamps, but I play with clothespins. It's so much easier with barbells than rings, like people have said. Definitely let them heal completely before doing anything. The infections can get pretty painful, I've read. But I love my piercings, absolutely worth it, and definitely more fun to play with.
