He is up on US charges, just not murder. He committed fraud by paying the mother 25 g's for the location of the body and he took the money and ran.

The United States has extortion charges at the ready and several others waiting on the books, Joran will be in prison for a very long time and to be honest he will probably never make it out of the prison he is in now alive.
