Greetings, fellow authors. Have any of you published stories with these folk?. Or do you know any one who has? Having had Aspen Press go bottoms-up on me (and not in a good way), I'm checking to make sure these publishers have a good reputation.

Judging from the wording of their ad, they seem to be a startup, which would mean they have little or no established reputation.

ETA: Here is somethiung I just googled. http://www.eroticromancepublishers.com/2011/02/market-monday-forbidden-fiction.html

That's a good link, Box, with some excellent discussion in the comments. Thanks!

I've been considering them too. I checked through their list of authors and some of them have offsite blogs talking about their process with the site. So far, it's all positive.

The site forum discussion, only accessible if you log in, is pretty clear that they are still in the start-up process.
Thanks to both of you! This helps a lot. I don't mind it being a start-up, in fact I like getting in on the bottom floor, so long as those also on the bottom floor are find it a good experience.

My problem with an erotica startup is that they want your SSN (with good reason--although I've avoided it with my erotica publishers). If an Internet company doesn't have "legs" yet, this is a good scam to run.

With this company, they state all genres/genders, but I couldn't really find a breakout anywhere that shows you can shop/write by specific categories. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough.
