Making the saying of hurtful things to others illegal?

Apparently, dead baby jokes are no longer in vogue, either.

I have a theory about the Middle Class. I define the Middle Class as merchants, farmers, and self employed professionals, the traditional middle class.

Elites and proletariats have the decency to murder their competition, the middle class kill their competition with kindness by encouraging and applauding all your faults. They prefer that you fuck yourself.

How could a law making it illegal to say hurtful things possibly be policed?
What one person hears in jest, another may find intolerable.
It would be unworkable IMO.

Therein lies the problem with most harassment policies and laws.

A local high school girl was arrested and suspended from school for posting an unkind comment about a fellow students karma. The arrested girl mentioned no names and made no threats. So if you post something like, I KNOW SOMEONE WHOSE KARMA IS GONNA SUCK WORSE THAN IT ALREADY DOES, you go to jail.

It just occured to me that a law prohibiting unkind statements would spell the end of the GB ;)

People who choose to be offended are playing the victim card. I have no use for them.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Lit hypocrisy winner for 2012. On the 4th of January.

Nice how the sad death of a suicidal fifteen-year-old brings out the compassionate in all the general boarders.

Having intimate knowledge of depressive personalities, I know there is no way I can stop someone who is intent on committing suicide.
Nothing I can say/do is going to change the outcome.
And there is no difference between a suicidal adult and a suicidal teen.

Why? What would you suggest?

Well, I just find it particularly tasteful and charming that the occasion of a young woman's sad death is used to make a thread that's a sideswipe about political correctness. To each their own.

Just about every single action and utterance that could potentially be deemed "offensive" to someone can result in either civil litigation or criminal prosecution.

Apparently there is so much bureaucracy in the United States people afraid to even look at each other anymore in fear of being sued for harassment/discrimination.

Almost every state has slander and defamation laws but PC is really designed to create a new criminal law specialty. Cops love it cuz its easy work, lawyers like it cuz its a payday, and it creates jobs for judges and probation officers.

Karen, last I checked, you had tiny tits.

Would that be considered hurtful in todays "make 'em feel good" society??........:)...........:)
