I am 24 and I already have over 100 gray hairs on my head.

Is this a normal for someone so young?

I have jet black hair so the gray hairs really stick out.

I had that many at 21.

It was caused by stress. I was running an early 1960s Computer Unit with a staff of 25 young ladies who were aged between 15 and 25.

The grey hairs grew out once I had relaxed into the job (and the computer became more reliable) and when I knew far too much information about the importance of dates, engagements, broken engagements, pregnancy scares and PMT.

No its not normal. Having a stressful life there Mikey? You really need to lose your virginity.

Im 18 and ive had greys since I was 16. Like you I also have black hair. Ive come to the realisation that by the time im 25 I will have a full head of white.

Not a biggie.

I had my first grays at 18. By the time I was 25, I had wisdom streaks framing my face. It was super cool and full of novelty and stuff. And then, by the time I was 30, people started guessing my age at older than I was, so I started dying my hair.

My hair's going grey to! And where it's so black it pops out really obviously. Fucking stress. I need to break down and get some dye- but I just haven't yet. I'm kinda hoping that it makes me look distinguished, or at least older then like... 14.

Normal, no, abnormal, not that either. If it bothers you that much, shave your head. I work with a guy that did that to cover his male pattern baldness at the ripe old age of 23.

Ever see an old farmer without gray hair?

Hair color is largely due to melanin, a very difficult molecule for a body to make. It requires alot of Vitamin D. If you are in the sun you tan and this also requires melanin. For molecules like these, they are assigned (utilized) based on what is more important. If you can't make enough, and you don't ingest enough, your body will steal it from other places. Hair is the first place your body will steal melanin from if it needs it for your skin.

Some women think it is sexy. Roll with it.

Seconded.

If it really bothers you (your self-confidence) dye it. But I don't think there's anything abnormal about it, Some people go prematurely gray, some go prematurely bald, etc. it's nothing to worry about in regards to it being abnormal. It happens.
