150 F-15's headed to Saudi: Big Mistake!

It's not about politics or even 911, it is simply all about money and who's pockets are gonna be full of the green stuff.

Ron Paul would not let this happen. Maybe it is good that he is looking like the leader of the pack in Iowa. Seriously - Why on earth would Obama allow this? As I recall it was mostly Saudi's that were behind 9-11. We have such short memories.

I don't like us dealing with the Saudis either. Boo, Obama.

Your comment about Ron Paul, however, is hilarious. Is he a politician? Then there's a chance he'd let it happen.

Also, if you're a Republican, you probably should root for someone who has more than a snowball's chance in hell of winning the presidency.

The 9-11 thing is dumb. Don't do that. Has nothing to do with anything and it makes you look like a fear mongering dipshit.
The Saudis aren't the best in the world but they're one of the most stable countries in the region. It's a solid piece of business that most likely won't hurt us.

The Saudi Govt has always provided our drug anytime other cartel members fell behind...that should be worth something

Washington (CNN) -- The U.S. government has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to sell nearly $30 billion worth of F-15 fighter jets, federal officials said Thursday.

Ron Paul is an Isolationist, which may work for a second or third tier power, but not a Superpower.

And one must keep in mind that, with Iraq no longer the counterbalance to Iranian power, The Saudi's do need to be a credible threat, or at least perceived stong enough to resist military incursions by Iran.

Better to have proxies do the dirty work than involve our own assets.

According to the linked article, 84 of the F-15s will be newly built.

They're old new planes. And never mind that they're one of the greatest fighter planes ever made and we still use the hell out of them. They're old. Or something. Or maybe she's a fucking moron. Take your pick.

911 had nothing to do with the Saudi Government. Your statement is like stating if a red head gave you herpes all redheads have herpes. Saudi is an ally and will prove valuable when we nail Iran who they hate. F-15 is old technology and if they would turn hostile to the US they would pose no threat.

Ron Paul is a dipshit regarding foreign policy.

If the Saudis turn on us; let's see it, even newly built, take on one of our new, really new planes and count the minutes while they are shot down in batches.

I was in the Air Force, I know about these things.

Yeah. It was designed to be a dedicated air superiority fighter and it still does that job quite well. Technically the airframe design is over forty years old but it's still highly maneuverable, especially for its size, and the avionics can be swapped out at will. Avionics count for a lot these days.

Also, she's a fucking moron.

Why would Saudi Arabia turn on one of their best oil customers?

Of course you do.

How's selling the House of Saud fighters...

...work with Obama's recently announced campaign to promote sexual equality in foreign policy relations with all nations from now on?

A woman can't even drive a car in Saud...

...let alone steer a stick.

No doubt another one of those infamous Obama favored exceptions...

Why would he not allow it?

It's a sale...

Because Saudia Arabia is part of the coalition surrounding Iran. It's a no brainer for any President, like the Keystone pipeline...

He is not an isolationist, he is a non-militarist, which, under Bush, it seemed that all the Democrats were screaming for. Now they get one and it seems they want their Obama wars...

Wrong.

But they see Paul as a complete loon on a whole bunch of other issues, so they take their sub optimal Obama international policies with stride.

Whats wrong with, Obama needs too pay some of the debt. guess it's better than ebay.

F-15's are out dated. Ron Paul wouldn't let this happen. I know, with his military budget we'll be flying bi-planes.

It is not sufficient to say "wrong."

And his out-of-control spending?

Gitmo still open?

No trials?

;) ;)
