I'm Going to Buy a New Weed Eater Today

I bought one of those things about 5 years ago. A big honkin Weed Eater brand. I only used it once because it was too heavy and all the trimmings hit me in the shins.

And, as usual, I always petition the local porn board as to what may or may not be the best pick.

I have just under an acre that I use to edge and put weeds down.

I have budgeted 175.00 for this endeavor.

Gas only so don't go suggesting some bullshit electric job. Those are for women.

are you going to get one with a straight shaft?

Stihl all the way. I bought one of their pro models a couple of years ago, and it's head and shoulders above the cheap ones. Only a bit more, about $250

I have a Stihl FS 130. I would think it to be a minimum size for your acre.

I have a Ryobi +One. No gas, no cords, just turn the thing on and be done.

boost your budget

Boost your budget and buy a Sthil FS model.....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A ELECTRIC...... I believe Sthil, still maked the Combi model; trimmer, edger, lite tree and brush cutter.....that's what i have...My machine goes like a bat out of hell, and takes out nearly every thing. You'll need a leaf blower. Sthil and Husqvarna make a great home owner, back/shoulder strap mounted maching.....Sthil and Husqvarna make great product. don't worry bout changing the wacker line. the sell pre-spooled line. click click, and your off

I can make one exception for an Electric model....your property is so small, you can mow your lawn with a trimmer....but don't give it two thoughts.....Up your budget and go full power. 8am Saturday morning...neighbors with hang-overs and you fire that two-stroke engine up....

BaWhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..... im kidding, 10am.

p.s. dont let the greenies scare you....full, petrol power.

Put some pants on!

We got the likes of JAJ and Johnny buying these things.

What do you expect?

Good point.

If I fire the lawn service, I might get one of these for around the house and garden. But I do need the larger unit for the annual alder and devil's club trimming. And trail work at the cabin.
