Snow bound

We had some fucked up warm weather today here.:D;)
Yeah. I'm loving this ummm... 'global warming' thing. Shit! Summer was mild, too! No wonder the property values never really tanked. Gotta be a way we can weave God and Providence into this. Nice weather we're having.

My dog is loving the snow.

So is mine. Funny thing though, the sob spent the summer and fall rolling in dirt and whatever and never really smelled. Now he shoves his head so far into a snow bank that you'd think you were looking at a headless body, and then goes and make doggie angels or whatever and he's beginning to really smell.

Chains first.

Everyone has those.......

oops, i was thinking locally......

Allthough I was planning on a Skidoo, I picked up a couple Polaris machines with a trailer for less than half of a new Skidoo......There's over 4 feet of white shit on the ground at the cabin.

Fine, now I can tell all my friends that this guy I talk to has a cabin in Alaska and the snow is 4 inches deeper there. We'll all feel so relieved. :D

There ya go again, thinking. Damn.

I was thinking of getting a set with the 'V' lugs welded in. Of course if I do that it will never snow again. But I'll keep the road repair crews busy. I'm all about stimulating the economy.

Regarding chains, I have a pair with the ice bars (v-lugs) welded on that I use on the front of the cruiser. I use the other set, without the lugs, on the rear. This is if I need to traverse zamboni-ed roads at near freezing temperatures. I have a set of cable chains for highway use if needed. I haven't needed them for years.

But, with regard to snow depth, at least we don't leave snow blowers on the roofs like they do in Valdez.

Oh, two sets, front and rear. Twice the damage. :D:D

I'll probably end up with cables. I've been getting around OK with the 'V' rated tires I have so cables will probably see me through.

It's a status symbol.

I actually have 3 sets.....

Another set for mud during hunting season. Status is not having to use chains.

Cables are great for most use on the road. You can get the ones that can be installed without moving the vehicle.

Wise is having them anyway.

The road isn't all that big a problem, it's the friggin' driveway.

I have to clear mine in the morning.

One of these days, I'm gonna tie the snowblower on top the car and head south til someone says, "What the hell is that?"

"Tourist attraction"

I guess then I should not be bitching about the late monsoon season.

Of course, it could be far worse.

Ice, ice baybee...

;) ;)

I don't envy you. We had that blizzard here last year in Shitcago.

When I was kid I could go out to play and get snow stuck between my boots and socks until my toes were numb and I was happy for it. Now I'm looking to move south :)
