What's super weird is that I recall the pre-show (before they went to that island) footage and she said she was the SMARTEST person and would win.
And, wow, she did just that. Plus her grandparents, parents, etc. are all noble in a way.

How many seasons have I watched someone not likely to win that last immunity challenge go ahead and do it and majorly screw up my hopes for the final 3. Grrrrrrr.
Russell Hanz is still...Russell, I see. God, he doesn't even back his own family.
I'm tired of Jeff not asking ALL the returning players questions. WHY bother to bring them back then ! Mikayla looked SO different at the Reunion Show and he asked her nothing.
I don't begrudge Sophie the win but I much prefer to see players with great charisma and who play interesting games win at the end. Sophie was like a technically proficient player with no art or style in her soul. This has nothing to do with her looks as she cleaned up nice.
Edna had the right ideas with her tribal council speech and Cochran had the right idea with his vote.

Being medical people I turned to my wife and said, "Who the hell is she that she thinks she's already a world-famous surgeon? You! I'm going to win, drop your tiles and pick up mine!" (Surgeons are usually omnipotent-feeling ass-hats when not working.)
I think Ozzy was right about her. I hope she learned something about how people actually perceive her, but with the win, I doubt it; it's only going to feed her feelings of superiority...
And Jeff, if you're so PURE about this being INDIVIDUAL challenges, why the hell were you letting them coach Edna v. Ozzy just a few episodes ago???
I was with Cowboy; I wouldn't want to vote for any of those people, but of the three Albert was the worst because at every time the self-proclaimed great "strategist" had a change to play a strategy that would change the course of the game, he talked big talk about doing it, and then like Sophie, clung meekly to Coach's coat tails, which, is why, I guess, in the end I would have voted for Coach...
And I think it came out with Edna's speech about how un-Christian-like it was for them to use Gawd to try and manipulate their fellow players.
That really disgusted me.
To bad Ozzy; that's one thing they should have taught you about taking the SAT, if you get stuck on one problem, don't dwell, move on to the next one...,

That whole Hanz family is fucked up. Brandon mentioned he has a wife and two kids that love him! 1) Did we know this before? I don't recall ever having heard mention of it and 2) Why weren't they there at least?

I think they were short on time....due to the game the 60 minutes. Although, its possible they didnt ask ALL constestnants last time.
Was happy Sophie won. I thought it would be Coach.
also, wondering, why is it the LAST time for Coach? Did he say he doesnt want to do it or is that Survivor saying this?

When Ozzie didnt get the puzzle and lost immunity challenge it was pretty clear the outcome. That puzzle piece won Sophie the cash.
One World -- i guess that was based on the fact the tribes will be staying in same place/camp together. That is what i took from it. We will see in Feb!

Albert: "I played a better game." Really?!? Then how come you did nothing around camp, didn't win much, fell down a lot (Yeah, a LOT!) and got NO votes? LOL
Coach said that Albert and Sophie are strong. What I think he meant by that is that those two were running Coach's tribe. Their heads were in the game regardless of how often they won or if they worked around camp they were in control most of the time. Otherwise Coach would have brought others to the end. He was too scared to do so. Strong to me is something else. Sophie might well be strong but Albert, not so much.
Ozzy on losing the final challenge. He said he defeated himself. I agree. I think you have to focus and not listen to Jeff or watch others to win. People showed several times that they would get weak when Jeff said something about them, then drop out. Plus looking behind you or beside you, at what someone else is doing, in a race will always make you lose ground.
He said he played his best social game. What? How?!? He sucked socially and also came off arrogant somehow. I'm not sure how? Anyway, that's not good. BUT if he had been in the final three he would have won anyway?!? What happened to the social game being so important?
I'm glad he won fan favorite.
How cute was that little girl? The one that asked how he did all those things?
On his messages: I like them generally. I think it's a good thing for the youth to hear that you can do anything. Specific application of say, holding your breath for 3 minutes underwater, could be dangerous, but mostly it was a good set of messages.

Another thing that was just bizarre. She said it several times before Jeff said Albert couldn't help. What? Really? Or did you just make that up on the spot Jeff? You were going to wait and see if Albert dropped his game, then tell him that? Really?
Agreed with the person who said, Jeff let others help at other challenges too.
Her breakdown at tribal over being told by Ozzy she was a brat and he'd heard that from several people was interesting. I think it actually got her some votes. But I think she was suddenly feeling worried about how the editors were showing her on national TV more than anything. That is pretty scary when you think about it.
I didn't know until the last few hours that she sucked socially. Now I understand being shy. I've been thought of as arrogant just because I was attractive and shy but she WON! And she fucked up the social game. What? How does that happen?

He besmirched his family name and doesn't get it even today. Still needs therapy. It's easy to see why Brandon needs help so badly coming from the biological and "nurturing" stew of these mean assholes.
Brandon: He is dealing the best way he can with the fact that his entire family is dysfunctional in the extreme, he is a 19 year old drop out, married (to a woman he no doubt both reveres and hates) with two kids. Poor kid. Poor wife. Poor kids. I'm guessing he got her pregnant during his "bad gang of one days" and "did the right thing."
Brandon was doing the gay nerd thing in his fashion on the reunion show. Wtf?!? I wouldn't be surprised if he was gay. All the men in his show fear and hate women. Also they fear and hate each other it seems.

Well Sophie, Albert and Coach had all gained significant weight. Albert looked about the same but his face was a bit rounder. Ditto Coach.
Sophie however, looked like she had just popped out twins and put on her best "mom" outfit /hair / makeup. Not good. Her skin looked better under make up though.
Brandon looked ridiculous. I've already mentioned what I thought of his "look."
Christine looked good, and nearly glam. Her gf, whose name I don't recall didn't fair so well. Lack of hair was a big issue.
Edna looked far younger and was somewhat glowing. Preggers!
Ozzy looked cleaner but otherwise not much changed.
Whitney looked fake but golden with waaaaay too much eye make up. Her boy toy, m'kay.
All I got to see of Papa Bear was his exuberance, bless his heart.
Survivor One World: Starts in February! Yay! I'm excited! Just for a new season. Not sure I like the living together in one camp thing at all but it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I hope Redemption Island is gone!
I saw some OLD looking skin. Which may give me someone to pull for!

I think he has, "I'm not going to grow up ever disease". The braids are just a manifestation of that. On the up side, he will always be a lot of fun. On the downside, he will probably never hold a job for long. He reminds me of my first bf a great deal. LOL

We knew he was married way back in the first episodes when he was calling the woman he was attracted to, evil and such.
Nothing about the kids was ever mentioned on the episodes as far as I can recall. Back then I thought he was late 20's or early 30's. He reads old and worn out for a teen.
My guess is they didn't show up because they have no money and possibly are embarrassed. Also, in the Hantz family it probably strongly believes in keeping those sluts, barefoot, pregnant in the kitchen.

Agreed. I said right then she would win. You could see in several of the jury member's eyes they were affected.
