Story lines: crazy, fundamentalist, often wrong, sometimes spectacularly wrong, husband who is simultaneously gay and anti-gay. Attorney, but with a degree from Oral Roberts U. Conservative. Does well in the debates. Pwned Gingrich for a minute or two last week.

Non-story line: She's a female. Winning the nomination would mean a female GOOP nominee and potentially a female president.

I have seen no implications anywhere of gender-based tokenism; she's simply one of several candidates in the field. I find this fascinating and encouraging. Say what you want about Hillary Clinton, but running as a well-qualified female candidate (about whom some Dems have non-buyer's remorse) has clearly had a beneficial effect on the the public's perception of the viability of a female candidate.

Say what you want about Obama, but his presidency has had the effect of making the office seem available for everyone, even dopes like Cain and hot little psycho-dummies like Bachmann.

About which you say...?

so a person who has done much, like Cain...is a DOPE

yet ClitBITCH is well qualified? REALLY? WHT THE FUCK HAS SHE EVER DONE?

I met a devil woman
She took my heart away
She said, I've had it comin' to me
But I wanted it that way
I say that any love is good lovin'
So I took what I could get mmh, mmh, mmh
She looked at me with them brown eyes

And said, You ain't seen nothin' yet
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothin' yet
Here's something that you're never gonna forget
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothin' yet
And you're thinkin' you ain't been around, that's right

And now I'm feelin' better
Cause I found out for sure
She took me to her doctor
And he told me of a cure
He said that any love is good love
So I took what I could get
Yes I took what I could get
And then she looked at me with them big brown eyes

And said, You ain't seen nothin' yet
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothin' yet
Here's something, here's something that you're never gonna forget, baby
B-B-B-Baby, you know, you know, you know, you just ain't seen nothin' yet
You need an education, got to go to school

Any lovin' is good lovin'
So I took what I could get
Yes I took what I could get
And then, and then, and then she looked at me with them big brown eyes

And said, You ain't seen nothin' yet
Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothin' yet
Here's something, here's something
Here's a lover you're never gonna forget, baby

She said, I need an education, go to school

I know I ain't seen nothin' yet
I know I ain't seen nothin' yet, mmh, mmh, mmh
I got something for you right now
Feels good, alright, how do you do that
But I ain't seen nothin' yet
But I deserve it one of these days
Woohoo, but I ain't seen nothin' yet
I ain't seen nothin' yet
Yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah
I ain't seen nothin' yet
I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait
If you want to show me what I ain't seen, where I ain't been
Lalalalalala
Owowowowowowo

You said it all............:)

I wish to say that I heartily agree with the idiot OP. Now that she's dropped out of the race, the post-mortems have said nothing (that I've seen) about the race losing its only female, or the fact that she's female at all.

It's possible the crazy-to-female ratio is high enough that it simply tipped the balance in favor of the former. But I think it's something else.

2008 may go down as the year that made the U.S. presidency attainable by anyone who can win an election. If so, it's remarkable for that alone, if nothing else.

Also, AIDS.

If the Repubs want to elect a woman, they need to choose from the following list:

Condoleezza Rice.

The simple fact is that the republican base does not consider women the equals of men and would not come out in force for any woman. They are the party of the 1950s and damn it they will fight to regress to that era no matter the cost.

Your analysis is close to being right on, but you go just a step too far when you refer to Bachmann as a "dummy." She is many of the negative things you outline in your post, but dumb is not one of them. The problem with throwing out the "dumb" card, when referring to a woman in politics is that it tends to discount the other things you say, placing them all into the DCL "Iron my shirt, Bitch!" mode, where every woman who ever sought high office is discounted as stupid. For DCL, that included Hillary Clinton. Like Clinton, Bachmann has numerous flaws, as duly noted by yesterday's caucuses. But "dumb" is not one of those flaws. As a federal tax litigator, she is far from stupid. Your analysis would receive the credibility it deserves were you not to throw out the dumb-card. It puts your post in the same category as other one-trick pony posters with race, gay, economic, or paranoiac agenda. Just my opinion.

A Republican friend of mine has often wished she would run. She's certainly brilliant. However, almost certainly a lesbian. I mean, she's closeted like Janet Reno is closeted. Nobody fussed about any of that when she just working for a POTUS, but she'd never survive the GOP-nomination campaign trail.

Liar.

Prove all that isn't a lie!

The bolded bit...that's sarcasm, right?

Oh, I checked it out, I came on to Condi Rice and she ignored me. Dyke!

Dyke?

Hahahahahahahahaha.

Thanks.

So, Mr. Fake-Mensa, Fake-Lawyer has been reduced to name calling, eh?

By calling me a 'Dyke' you reveal that you have sexual identity issues, with a strong overlay (NPI) homophobic bent (NPI).

OMG, you are so easy. You put your reflex-buttons right out there, don't you?

I love it.

That said, I think I've made my point. For those of you who weren't following the dust-up the last few days, KO called me a liar in response to a post wherein I opined about race and racism in America. I voiced an opinion and he called me a liar. I offered that no opinion can be a lie, but that flew right over his head. Therefore, for the next few days, I replied to his opinions, similarly saying that he was lying. Today's comments indicated that that too flew over his head. But for the rest of us, we saw how that all worked out.

The end.

You and Throb make a cute couple.

Please don't change the subject.

Mr. Kraft's manufactured outrage on full display. Always funny when he gets so riled up he gets stuck on stupid.
