Risks include re-propagation of fecal-oral transmitted infectious agents... Most of them just give you pathological diarrhea, some (such as helminth parasites) do a bit more.

For a person to become infected with parasites in particular it would generally depend on if they had parasite ova in their colon to begin with (which may occur more often than we think but asymptomatically).

What you have to realize is that the normal bacterial flora of the large bowel can be homeostatic (in good balance, not hurting anything) there but pathological(causing a disturbance) when it goes elsewhere.

The simplest example is E. Coli. It's normal in your colon, but when women wipe back to front it can be introduced into the urinary tract, where it is "not welcome." Similarly, a resident colon bacteria could propagate in your upper GI tract and cause issues.


Honestly, the stomach has acid for a reason and the body can and does handle billions of bacteria at a time, so you will get away without any issue 9 times out of 10, but that one time may be very, VERY bad and so it is never recommended.

(Off the record, you'll probably be fine if you avoid visibly-soiled oral insertions, but even then don't do a vaginal after anal as the balance is much more delicate in there)

Makes sense. I've read about the potential dangers that would stem from bacteria from the colon entering the esophagus (I think that was it...I'm no bio major) but that any risk from anal/oral contact would also be very low.

I agree about anal/vaginal, and in fact this is a good slap on the wrist for me because I've gotten very lax about that with my current partner. I've heard for years that you can get sick, etc., from ass to mouth, and neither I nor anyone I know who's done ATM have gotten sick the first time (and I've done ATM where the cock came out of another girl's ass as well). This includes hearing people say things like you can get Hepatitis from your own ass even if you don't already have it. lol Just...silly shit (no pun intended). I'm not surprised there are so few. It's not something most people would even consider doing. Though I have a friend who always thought it was gross and swore it's not something she'd ever do. I think cleanliness is a given when it comes to anal play.

Personally, bathing/showering and paying extra attention to that area while cleaning has always worked just fine for me. With 2 caveats, though- I've only had anal sex within ltr's (so there's a certain level of trust there) and I haven't done anything extreme like huge insertions or anal gangbangs. For activities like that enemas are probably a good idea.
