For others to contact you through the site, you'll want to follow the directions for private messages.
Please ensure you have switched on your Private Messages. Go to User CP (top left of this page), click on Edit Options (in the left hand column), and then tick Enable Private Messaging in the second box down. Make sure that the next box down (Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators) is NOT ticked. Finally click Save Changes at the bottom of that page.

In the meantime, while you're searching for an editor find a program that has spell check, that will help you out quite a bit as well.
Even when posting here, if you use Mozilla rather than internet explorer it has a built in spell check.

The vileness continues. I believe that LC was suggesting that you do all a writer can do, aka spellcheck and grammar-check. These are easy steps to take and heps an editor greatly. But I do these from the start anyway.
I would help you out but I am leaving tomorrow on business and won't be back for two weeks, during which time I will not have an opportunity to edit or even check email. If you are still in need I will assist after that.
LC, you're out of line. IMHO. Not that I haven't been. You have come to my aid before and I thank you for that. But now its time to help and not attack. I know I've been the worst offender, for which I have apologized and do again.
The EF needs to become a resource, not a battleground. SR is very good at this, and I have caused nothing but strife.
Once I quit crystal meth, oxycodone, booze, whores, smoking, and my other additctions, I will try to mentor others.

I don't see where I am out of line here at all. I am suggesting that he can help himself out with a simple tool. You even point out that I am suggesting he does what he can to get better while looking for an editor.

Hey, Old Soul, I know exactly what it is like to be in your shoes. Some of my earlier writings causes heart attacks in English teachers. That unfortunately means I am still not good enough to put a stamp of approval on anybodies writings, none that would make most readers happy that is, but make sure to take the criticism well. Ignore the salt they are trying to dump into your wounds and just examine the wound, what they are trying to tell you with the insults.
Spell check is an important tool though, as said before, it helps everyone. I know I've used it three times in this little post already.
Otherwise you've got to tell everyone, briefly, what your story is all about. Nobody wants to say they'll edit you then get into a genre or category they don't like.

Unfortunately, spell check doesn't do the whole job, as rereading of a post might reveal.
Well no, it won't pick up a incorrect spelling if the incorrect version is a word. That gave me fits with my main characters name being Mark. I would forget the caps, but seeing mark is a word it would not underline and I would miss a few.
In the OP's case though I think it would be a great help.
Not sure where that was an attack as AS seems to think it was however.
