A Little Advice Please...

I have previously been a member of the site, and made a few submissions. However I had not written anything interesting for quite a while.
I rejoined the site under a new name; I felt my previous identity had been compromised. This was now a couple of weeks ago. On completing the signing up process I submitted two stories. I have checked back every few days, however, to date my profile shows I have no submissions.
Knowing that Literotica vet submissions, am I being impatient, or should I resubmit my stories? How long does the checking process normally take? Does it take longer with a story of around 10,000 words? Is this too long?
Any advice would be well received. Thank you.

It usually takes about three days for a story to post, and right now the Winter contest has started, so it may take a day or two longer. Don't click on pending and then resubmit -- your story will be sent to the back of the line.

If you have submitted and you are show no submissions then the stories have not been properly uploaded. Best advice is to resubmit them if they are not showing as submissions.

That depends where you are looking.

If you are looking on http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=1345399 then they will only show if they are actually up.

If you go to http://www.literotica.com/stories/ and click on login (blue near the top) then log in, then click on your own name (blue near the top), then click on submissions (blue left near the top), then click on View (blue left under Submissions) then you will see the current status of anything Literotic thinks you have submitted.

I there is nothing there, then the submission process did not work.

Thanks one and all. Am beginning to think the uploading process failed me. Appreciate your replies. Cheers

Copy and paste the text into the submission box. You can preview the story first and make any adjustments before actual submission. I find the process simple--which is a good thing since I'm computer illiterate.

I have not noticed any difference between longer vs, shorter stories, but I'm new to authoring.

I've had 25000 words take 3 days, the same as 17000 or 10000. It seems to always be three days or around 72 hours.

I think Lit is pretty on the money with the 'three day' rule, a rejected story comes back in the same time frame. So 6 days overall, if it's rejected and resubmitted shortly after.

Still nothing posted by Shadowlands. Did you try submitting again?

Shadowland was the name of my comic book store. Apparently the name is doomed to fail. Change your name and submit again!
