Only one other holder of the office in history has been reelected with unemployment and underemployment at current levels--FDR--and that was largely because the situation was significantly worse when he entered office than it was when he was up for re-election. President Obama has the reverse trajectory going and he's gone out of his way to alienate the base of the Democratic Party by showing open disdain for them for three years and counting. Any of the GOP candidates with statistically significant positive polling could beat him if things don't change soon.

When the time comes people will vote how theyre doing. Politicians and perfessers like to believe they can spin the publics sentiments with BS statistics and tv testimonials, but each of us knows if we're hurting or living la dolce vita, and we vote accordingly.

Greece is likely to pull Europe down the drain, more than 1/2 of Americas unemployed exhausted their benefits, we've done zip to defang hedge funds and they continue to suck the blood outta AIG, Fannie & Freddie remain on life support, the kids owe Sallie Mae just about ONE TRILLION in loans for Dwarf Studies diplomas, and Green Energy is a sad joke.
