Arrogant Atheist Puts the Kibosh on Toys for Needy Kids
Militant moonbats don’t mind a little collateral damage in their war on Christianity — not even if it means depriving needy kids of Christmas toys. For example:
The U.S. Air Force Academy has pulled out of a Christian-sponsored children’s toy drive after commanders were accused of religious intolerance.
“Religious intolerance” in this context means “tolerance for Christianity.”
Mikey Weinstein, an academy graduate who runs the Military Religious Freedom Foundation [a militant atheist outfit], said the academy’s participation in Operation Christmas Child is inappropriate because of its evangelical Christian roots.
Operation Christmas Child is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, headed by Franklin Graham — the son of evangelist Billy Graham. It packs toys and other items into shoe boxes and sends them to needy children around the world, along with a Christian message in each gift.
“This is arrogance beyond measure,” Weinstein told the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Incredibly, Weinstein was referring not to his own arrogance in thinking cadets should be prevented from donating toys to needy children in the interests of his own fanatical belief in nihilism, but the alleged arrogance of participating in any charity that does not disavow Christianity, which liberals hate ferociously for serving as the backbone of Western Civilization.
The academy never denied the religious aspect of the charity, but said at first there was nothing wrong with the school’s participation. The cadets would donate toys and other items, but wouldn’t have anything to do with the religious message included with the gifts when they’re delivered, academy spokesman John Van Winkle originally said.
But like most modern institutions, the Air Force Academy appears to be run by weasels and moonbats; typically, they quickly caved to liberal fascism. Sorry kids. Maybe some Muslim group will stand up and send you a suicide bomber belt for Ramadan.
