My latest went up early this morning. So far it has one vote, but I received two e-mails from people who vote regularly on my series and both said they were unable to vote.

Both of them are anonymous on Lit so I was wondering if that had something to with it.

Regardless it shouldn't and I was wondering if anyone else was aware of this issue. For the hell of it I tried to vote on two stories myself today (no, not mine! I picked 2 random incest stories) One vote took one did not.

Wondering if anyone here new what was going on lately.

Hey, LC! When did you submit?

(I'm referring to your stories, not your Saturday night. ;))

I submitted on Monday, (The story as well!) and it went up this morning.

This sucks with the votes. AS it is most people don't vote and I doubt that anyone who tries and can't is going to go back and try again.

Really blows as this is a huge chapter in the series. It is the one where after 20 years of playing games, the Sister finally admits her love to her brother and hey end up together. Was not confident I handled it well as there was a long build up to this. Now I guess I won't know

Upside is my resident trolls can't one bomb me!

Want to add that the story did get a vote right off the bat, so someone got through which makes it even stranger.

I had the same problem today. I sent a PM to Manu.

Makes me wonder, again, who really is winning these contests--special OR regular monthly ones.

There dios seem to be a bit of a SNAFU with the voting at present.

I've experienced the same pattern with my latest story. I just assumed one of the site admins hated me. That may still be true, but apparently I now have company.

Well the story now has 7 votes and rests at a 3.86 which means my trolls of course somehow managed a vote. I also see where Syd is saying that at one point bher only registered vote was a one.

Maybe lit is now sweeping 5 votes rather than 1's

Anyway this is serious fucking snafu on their part. The only 'payment' we can receive here is votes and comments so everyone has been sol off and on this week.

The readers rarely vote and as I said earlie good luck in getting them to go back and vote a second time.

Of course the real pisser will be that the site won't acknowledge let alone even give so much as a "we're sorry for the inconvenience." Nope just pretty much a "oh well" which is a PC version of Fuck you.

Figured I would put the last part in so the defenders can rush in and say "well they can do what they want."

I have said many times in the past high scores are nice, but I don't pay them much mind. But as stated previously my story that went up today is the climax of 14 months of work and I will not see what most people thought of it.

I am seriously thinking of deleting the friggin thing and reposting in a couple of weeks when they have their shit together,

Course problem there is it's taking much longer for stories to go through so it will take a week to delete. I think Darkincaid mentioned he had an edit that still hadn't cleared in 6 days.

It maybe time to check out the other "SOL"

I was able to vote this afternoon. Not sure if my PM to Manu had anything to do with it. Maybe they are checking out the voters one at a time.

Part of me was wondering if they were trying to find away to stop the whole "alt" voting thing, but there is really no way to that I could see, and honestly who gives a shit?

The contests are different because the votes matter but for regular stories who cares if some idiots are voting on their own material. What do they get? A place in the Top lists? Big deal.

Thanks, Tatyana

for linking to my post of 9/21. There was an announced upgrade on the Lit homepage going back (IIRC) to around 9/18 or 9/19, and the announcement (a one-sentence snippet) was there as late as yesterday (9/24), but it was taken off today, 9/25. Now the pages are loading faster, and fewer bad gateways, but I'm hearing endless complaints that votes aren't being counted, or registering--sounds like Florida 2000. But I hope not with the same result.

How anyone could one-bomb Serenissima Syd's magnificent "How to Save a Life" is beyond me, unless that one is the meanest troll in Trollsville, is beyond me. Ch 13 is a stunner, true, but Syd's invention and characterization are flawless.

Dumb question but...

...how do you view the actual breakdown of votes for one of your stories please?

I'm sure I did this the other day, but now I can't find the button.

Or did I dream it?

(bumping up an old thread as it's not really worth starting a new one.)

(and more people appear to hangout here than where I originally asked it.)

You can see how many votes per story on your "control page" Log in and click submit. The click view and you will see a list of your stories. Each story has the number of views, the number of votes, and your score. It will also have number of comments and you can click moderate comments if there are any you want to delete.

Answered it on the other thread, but you can't see the individual votes anywhere. The only way you can figure it out is to keep close track of your numbers and do the math.

Wow, I did imagine it then.

I've spent a good hour cursing the navigation on Literotica, looking for something that doesn't exist.

I have a vivid memory of a row of 5 boxes with numbers in each (representing votes). What an utterly random dream.

Thanks to the both of you.

No, that actually sounds a bit like the scoring for Storiesonline they have several columns of numbers.
