They are also blissfully unaware of much that transpires outside of their own life and career path.

Nothing has changed much since DeTocqueville noticed this during his travels about the nature of the American educational state.

Most of them are kinda lemming-like when it comes to politics, they just sense the vibe of people around them and assume that the group has to be sane, balanced, moderate, independent thinkers and centrist by nature...

The very Foundation of our Liberty, Capitalism, has at the hands of Statists and Socialists become the Bogey Man that creates every situation and status in our lives that we do not think is "fair."

A wonderful word, and a great way to enslave a nation, stop talking about Liberty and begin talking about "fair..."

;) ;) That's all OWS wants; just a little "fairness."

If you ask your government to treat someone "fairly," the only way it can ever accomplish that task is to treat someone "unfairly."

I come back from a Lit break and I'm pleased to note that before reading a single word of your post, merely upon seeing "4est_4est_Gump", I thought well, A_J has a new handle.:D

I've been here too long, grown able to spot the faintest of tracks in Lit's hard-packed earth, feel the changes of Lit's weather in my bones. Manu's digging me a plot, Laurel's makin' a wreath.

I'm hoping to lay somewhere quiet. Far from the madding crowd of Playgrounders. Away from the stench of the Lit Chat Lagoon. Somewhere with a view. I had a timeshare out in Ampics once...

According to 'Actual' measurements CO2 is now .0329 atmospheric concentration. It was once 10% to 23% concentration (depending on the researcher, or Perg's ability to read)

Take actions according to your religious beliefs.

Don't enact laws that would make me behave according to your religious belief.

And yes I agree, at one time the CO2 levels were 10 to 23%....in the fucking Cretaceous period. Unless you can provide backup for your claim, it ain't happened since the human race walked the earth.

I've posted papers that refer to other papers that all cite the CO2 concentrations in that range. It's even found on Wiki with multiple citations. And yes, you can do your own homework ya lazy shit.

The most disturbing reaction I think I’ve read about the incident was this: “What I’m looking at is fairly standard police procedure.”

That was from Charles J. Kelly, a former Baltimore Police Department lieutenant who, according to the AP,
wrote that department’s use of force manual. He said pepper spray is a “compliance tool”
and that he observed at least two cases of “active resistance.”

Did we watch the same video? I saw a bunch of kids locking arms on the ground and police in riot gear
moving around freely. Then I saw a cop with an oddly calm expression spray the kids in the face.
More than once. I don’t think that’s “active resistance,” and the 9th Circuit —which has ruled
that it’s excessive to use pepper spray against seated, peaceful protesters
