I have a question, primarily for the women, but the guys can chime in here if they wish.

I am writing a series of stories I'll be submitting to Lit. Hopefully, they'll all get published. My question concerns which word you prefer to use to refer to your genitals.

Do you prefer the word "pussy," the word "cunt," or some other word? Or does it depend on the situation? If you read someone's writing and they use one or the other, does it bother you?

I used to detest the word "cunt," primarily because of the way it is used pejoratively in our society. A friend of mine eventually convinced me of the power of the word, however, and I have become an avid fan of it. So when I write or speak, I will almost always refer to my crotch as my cunt. I'll tell someone to "eat my cunt" rather than "eat my pussy." The word just has such an evocative power over people. If you don't believe it, use the word yourself when you're among friends and watch the reaction. Unless you already use it a lot, it'll generally stop them dead in their tracks.

I find it even hard to use the word "pussy" these days. It just sounds so...juvenile or middle-schoolish. I can say it, but I want to giggle when I do. lol

So, anyway, what do you call yours, and what do you prefer when you read someone's writing?

I don't use the word alot but I like it when I am in a very horny mood and wanting to be fucked good and hard. If I was in a more sensual and romantic mood it would not fit. However, If i was being fucked really good and hard and a guy said "take all this big cock deep in your fucking cunt!!" it would drive me crazy.

When I'm writing, I would use either, Normally when the characters are speaking they say cunt, while when i'm describing whats happening its a pussy, mainly because I think it, as you noted, it has more impact. It implies the characters think that way and it has more power in the dialogue then elsewhere.

I do think its more a personal taste, I don't say cunt in a social context, because too many people in Australia use it as an adjective. More "You're a fucking cunt, don't you know that?" so I don't like to get blended in with those individuals. In the privacy of my own home.. in particular with my husband? that it totally my business.

When I read, as long as it doesn't feel like over kill, like the writer is putting it on thick, or its not said in a degrading way, then I'm good with it.

As with anything, it depends. :) I think "cunt" goes very well with "cock". I hate the "V" word and do not use it. ;) "Pussy" is a good word, too, and probably the one I most often use.

When writing, it always depends on the flow of the story. Some seem to "need" the word cunt more often and pussy. ;) Just go with your gut and how you think the story is flowing!

words

From a male perspective, hearing a woman say cunt is more erotic than if she says pussy, especially during sex

Most of the time I say pussy....but during sex, or to be sexy, definitely cunt.

I used to always use the word 'pussy' when talking about the vagina, but then, over a series of chats with my girl, it transpired that she quite liked the word 'cunt' (but only when used in a sexy context, obviously).

... or to be sexy, definitely cunt.

I guess therein lies part of my, I don't want to use the word "problem," but in my mind, I never stop being in a sexy frame of mind. Even when I'm just out doing random stuff, I still want to exude "sexy" and sexual self confidence. So there is no bad time to use the word. Etc.

For what it's worth my wife prefers the word "pussy" unless she's being penetrated then "cunt" comes into play. Examples being, she will text me "my pussy is wet" and beg "FUCK MY CUNT DEEP" when fully engaged.

Amongst her female friends she uses the words "pie" and "pussy" only. I've NEVER once heard them say cunt or refer to that area as their cunt.

I have always felt that pussy and/or cunt was too vulger IMHO thus why i've used the term " kitty " ............ it sounds cute ;) ???

I used to be a member of chat room that censored certain words, and it would replace pussy / cunt / etc with "kitty". It is adorable. :p

I think you should consider which word fits your character. Cunt is more vulgar and maybe an edgier or "rough around the edges" character might use it where a more refined one wouldn't.

Or you could juxtapose a classy socialite using "cunt" in a sort of femdom manner to give the reader a twist.

Also, might help to consider the audience you're targeting.

On the other hand, write it as it flows and you can always edit it on the reread, or if it doesn't get the response you hope for.

Best luck!

"Uhhh, actually, Carla, I'm not comfortable with that word. I prefer to refer to it as a Bajingo."

Love Scrubs!

I think its more important whether your character would use each word

As long as you don't use "vajayjay" you're okay. I'll bitch slap anyone who says that in front of me. lol

Kitty is cute and some times so am I, but i love my Pussy , it is warm and soft and loves to be curled up next. It also loves long tongue baths.

I depends on the situation and feeling you want. Pussy is slow and slinky. Cunt is hard and rough
Mix and match:D

Around here peachka is common:)

I've never liked the c-word. Even laying aside its connotations, it just sounds rough and cold, the exact opposite of what a vagina is actually like during sex.
