I just had my first story published.

http://www.literotica.com/s/night-at-the-clinic

Yay, go me, and all that. The only problem is that something has gone wrong between submission and publication and the story has been published with all conversations between characters squeezed into one paragraph rather than each line of dialogue being on a different line. The first conversation (between Jill and the lost visitor) is fine, because there is a paragraph of text between each line of dialogue, but all the subsequent conversations (for example between Jill and Ralph about two thirds of the way through page 1) have been completely butchered.

I definitely didn't submit the story like that, so I have no idea what has happened. Fortunately the story is very dialogue-light, because otherwise it would be completely unreadable. It is receiving good scores at the moment, but it's probably only a matter of time before the grammar Nazis move in and vote me down because "I don't know how to write".

Is there any way to get this fixed? I know I can resubmit with "Edit" in the title, but it took me an age to go through the whole story adding in all the html tags and I really don't want to have to do that again (stupidly I didn't save a copy of the coded form). Could I get hold of the editor who published it and ask them to just separate the lines? It would only take them 30 seconds. Also does anyone know what might have happened? The next story I am writing is a lot more dialogue-heavy and this would completely butcher it if I don't work out what went wrong.

Any help appreciated. Sorry if I sound pedantic, but I imagine everyone gets a bit precious about their first story.

Your best bet would be to send a PM to Laurel. Here's a shortcut link:
