I need help finding the author or title of my favorite story here on Lit. I read it a while ago before I created a profile for saving my favs and I forgot to bookmark it. When I came back, I couldn't remember where it was, what the title was, or who the author was. I remember all the details of the story, but cant find it.
Its in the mind control category and I think part of the "long series" section. Its about a young guy who participates in an experiment about "lucid dreaming." Scientists did something to his brain so he controls his dream world like Neo in the Matrix. Eventually he realizes his dreams are really his spirit flying around the real world and he can spy on people or influence them.
There's a wierd twist in later chapters where he travels back in time and takes over the body of his younger self to fix his mistakes. The time travel happens with Star Trek symbolism and props. He is also supposed to stop a terrorist attack that causes a global depression he was living through as his older self. I think the entire continent of australia is blown up or something.
The sex scenes are good, but I really liked it because I thought the overall story was great sci-fi. It had a great plot and the development was more than the standard "get struck by lightning and become a sex god with no consequences."
If anyone knows the story I'm talking about, please share.
