Please, DON'T FEED THE TROLLS

I have seen a couple of threads bashing gays lately in the GLBT forums and in each one I noticed someone with a lot more experience than me pointing out that we should just ignore the trolls. Like many, I get irritated when I feel attacked and want to vent, but the people posting the troll warnings are absolutely correct. If we as a group REFUSE to be drawn into their nonsense and don't post to that thread it will soon go away and perhaps the OP will get the message to play nice or find another sandbox. I started this thread simply because I didn't want to post anything at all ever again to a troll thread. Don't want to bump it even for a good reason. One of my all time favorite quotes comes from Eleanor Roosevelt and it deals directly with someone that feels compelled to bash us for whatever reason. She said that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Priceless.

Of course you are right. But, sometimes they just tick me off so much, I have to respond. And, usually, after I do that, I use the ignore button (a wonderful benefit of this site) so I never have to read their rot again.
