OK first the rules:
There are NO rules!!!!! Ok just kidding.
I have gone over the list a made sure there isn't anything that cannot be posted. The only thing that I would make you aware of is a stranger or someone else holding a sign with your name on it. Please don't put their face in the pic. From the neck down will be just fine.
I have read where some people are concerned about how big the thread is goign to get. Who cares. I hope this thing hits 300 page in less then a week. There is one thing I ask of each team before they post their first pic. One person from each team post their team name on the thread. AFter that you can start posting items found, but I ask that whoever created that post for your team name go into that original post and under their team name put 1 item found, 2 items found, etc etc. I don't need to know which items you found. I just want you to keep a running tally of how many items your tema has found. You don't have to do it immediatly as I understand we are not on here 24/7, but as soon as the original poster of that post gets on please update your teams tally.
Now a few other rules:
1) No pictures of children in any form or fashion. Please adhere to the rules that are already set when it comes to The Playground.
2) EVERY picture must either have your FACE or your USERNAME somewhere in the picture. You can use a sticky note or a sheet of paper. I don't care but it has to be visible and ledgible for it to count.
3) Please go to the website resizr.com to reduce the size of your images to make them a bit neater on the thread. We don't need huge images distorting the size of the thread itself. YOu can use resizr.com or any other image editing software you use. All I ask is that you use it.
4) Do your best not to post the same items if you are on the same team. This thread is already going to be large enough. Try to keep it to one post per item per team. You may not know your teammate that well since I had to partner a few people up. Talk to each other. I purposefully scrambled the list up so that way you can't just say you take the top half I will take the bottom. So make sure you talk to each other.
5) If you are unclear of an item or unsure if what you have pictured will work, PM it to me with the item number it is supposed to be and I will let you know.
6) If you are unsure of a good image site to use I use imagehousing.comand have never had an issue. I can thank Peaches1990 for that suggestion.
7) If you want to post any story or funny thoughts during this please do so. I am hoping this isn't just a picture thread. I have gottten probably 20-30 PM's from people saying they cannot play but will be following the thread. So there will be a lot more then that checking this out from time to time.
8) Be respectful of each other's teams. I want there to be some shit talking and what not, but please keep it to a fun level.
9) NO CHEATING PLEASE!!! There is NO reason to cheat. There isn't a grand prize or trip around the world for the team who wins. This is strictly for fun and there is no reason to cheat.
10) Lastly have fun with this! If it goes well we can certainly do it again. Realize this is the first one so it probably won't go that smoothly but we can learn from this one to prepare for the next one.
If you have any questions about what is on the list or about posting or anything regarding this scavenger hunt please PM me and I will answer them as best I can.
Also I forgot to add that this ends next Sunday Sept 4th at Noon central time. If there is anyone who wants to play that hasn't signed up, you are more then welcome to play but you must find a partner on your own first. Just PM me and let me know.
