Stockings and suspenders for a big girl?

I'm a UK size 20 and to please my Dom am tasked with turning up in stockings and suspenders at our meeting.

I don't want to but on line( complicated)

Does anyone know of a UK shop where I can buy stocking and suspenders in my size and can go into the changing room and try them on?

particularly in the midalnds area?

I can't advise on shops, but I can advise on fit! lol

You can't really "try on" stockings before purchase, any more than one can "try on" pantyhose - odds are significant "try ons" would be a mess of rips and runs. My suggestion if the biggest issues are height (my problem) or thigh circumference (equally as frustrating an issue) - go up a size. That should bring the length and circumference up enough to stay put. Also, even with a garter belt, purchase stockings with silicone gripper lace tops for additional support.

Garter belts are easier- you'll probably want to do a plus size; 1X, maybe? Most garter belts will either have a hook & eye closure at the back, or slide hardware (similar to a bra strap). Either way it should give you some wiggle room on sizing.

I have a problem with the larger sizes ending up with puddles of stocking at my ankle. I'm short (5'3ish), but have larger thighs, so I buy the larger size to fit around, but can't seem to solve the puddling issue for very long.

Any advice?

It can be almost impossible to try and find a suspender belt in the UK unless it is a badly made one from a sex shop (Ann Summers springs to mind), or Christmas.

I can understand your relutance to buy online, but as CM said, they won't let you try stockings on instore, and may not let you try suspenders on.

Some of the big dept shops that have bridal stuff may have them.

I do know one shop but it means heading along the A14 to Norfolk.

Hmm... The next best thing I can think to do would be email someone like www.sockdreams.com - they note length, calf, and thigh circumference for most of their stock, and if I rember correctly carry just about every sock, thigh high, or stocking you can imagine. I've been really happy with them in the past, and their customer service might be able to offer more specific advice.

I was thinking more of trying the gater/suspender belt on rather than the stockings , but didnt make myself clear.

Oh to be a nubile size 10 and be able to walk into any shop and get what you need! lol

Do Anne Summers do up to size 20?.......can I try the bloody things on there? I have this fear of buying them , getting them home, putting them on and then thinking..........OMG thats repulsive!

Glue? Staples? Sorry, I'm a man. I only have to keep one thing up and that hasn't been an issue...so far.

I don't know if Ann Summers do that size, I don't go in there as the stuff is so cheap and tacky. \I once got one of there latex duo balls stuck and ended up in A&E, it was enough to put me off for life.

When are you meeting him?
The BBB is third Saturday in the month, they probably have stalls that sell suspender/garter belts.

There is a very small shop in Kings Heath near Brum, can't recall the name but it is at the top of the street, opposite a car park and a shoe repair shop.

I know that's terrible directions but I bought a beautiful collar in there and took it across to the shoe repair place to put an extra hole in it.

If you want details of the BBB feel free to send me a pm and I will send info/links etc. Have not been this year, but I am supposed to have given all BDSM things up.

I have two hot glue guns and plenty of glue rods. Now, if you can just hold still...

But something tells me that hot glue and nylon won't like each other. Maybe we should go with the staples.

Maybe I could go artistic and paint them on , along with seems up the back. Sometimes it sucks being a big girl. You look in the shops at all the sexy pretty things and know you dont have a chance in hell of anything fitting!

Hi, I know it's a while since you posted, so I don't know if you've solved your problem. I'm in the UK and a size 20. I thought I'd have real problems getting sexy/kinky lingerie but I've done ok so far. I admit I do get some stuff online (lovehoney is great and simplyyours has a range too) but I recently got bra, briefs and suspender belt from Debenhams. They might not have a huge selection, but there's usually a couple of choices. In fact I even got a second belt in the sales. Stockings I find to be fairly simple and have even got them from Asda! I really did think that anything sexy didn't go above a 14, but I'm so pleased to be wrong. I know some people don't rate Ann Summers, but they also do stockings in a larger size, which are fine (their bra/corset sizing leaves a lot to be desired though).
Hope you have/had fun and if this doesn't help now, maybe you can use it for future reference.

Fantastic! You have given me hope. To tell the truth I'd put it on the back burner and hoped he wouldnt push it. I'd sort of given up that I'd find anything. But I know its what he wants. Merry Hill here I come as Asda and Debnahams are there lol
