Note? What Note?

I wonder if someone can help me out here. When I submitted my first story in several years I wrote a note in the, "author's note" section explaining a couple things in the story. The note did not show up at the top of the story and I got some criticism that I probably wouldn't have gotten as a result.
I also wrote notes for my sequel to the story. Those notes DID appear. Now I've submitted a 3rd story and, NO NOTES AGAIN. Again I wrote notes only to have the story run without them.
What gives? Doesn't anyone know the criteria for the, "author's notes" section?

The Authors notes in the submission section is just to tell the person chacking the story things you feel they need to know. Sometimes if they think the note should be added to the top of the story they will if they are not swamped that day.

Add your own notes if you wish but I wouldn't rely on the staff here doing it for you. The staff consists of the two owners.

If you want your notes to show, you have to put them in the text box, not the notes box.

Thank you

That clears it up. Thanks much. I was under a misconception that the, "author's notes" was considered a prelude to the story.

You might want to consider submitting edits, in which you've placed the notes where you want them.
