Slut as a lifestyle.

I would've guessed Narcissist.

Non Sexaholics might think so.

But to be a Sexaholic, sex must be all consuming in every way... at least for a goodly amount of time.

Narcissism can be a part of it, indeed a person would have to look very much like that, at lest for time to be a classic Sexaholic.

However the Narcissism can fade and the Sexaholicism will still be there in a not necessarily subdued form.

some say I should be ashamed, yet, I am not. It's empowering to embrace my inner slut.

Being single truly helps.

I have - at the moment - several on the line - chicks included.

Only on Lit could I do this.

2 sugar daddies, (one is on his way out cause he's grumpy!) One that satisfies my slutty BDSM needs, One that wants to rescue me, a lovely chick who's too damn young for me but keeps hitting on me, one that is purely vanilla, but wants to be the BOYFRIEND (not)...

If only I could bottle this, I'd be a rich woman.
its 2011.
women have more choices, more options.

i say more power to you!

What about physical and emotional intimacy?

There are varying degrees to that as well. There's never just one level of anything.

This, like most of everything in life dealing with people in a social matrix, is a war of semantics, viewpoints and labels. What Red has going on is technically no different from saying that she has a few wealthy boyfriends she spends downtime with who cater to her needs.

Know what they call that in NYC? A socialite.

I don't care if people get paid to have sex with people who ultimately don't give a shit about them. At least they're getting something tangible out of it. Plenty of people have dysfunctional fucked up sex lives and get nothing in return.

It's the super sad belief system that charging for it somehow puts YOU in charge of the situation, or leaves you "holding the cards". The person getting paid is NEVER the person in control. Doesn't matter what the situation is.

It'd be like a waitress saying "Well, I used to have to do things for other people all the time. And it was total victimization. But BOY, have I EVER turned the tables on them! NOW, I do things for other people, and I'm ALSO DEPENDENT UPON THEM for my livelihood! Bet they never expected THAT!"

Sex industry = previous victims who've convinced themselves they've risen above victimhood because now they get paid to be victims.

it's nice if you're happy.
though the idea of living that way myself made my regret having eaten today.

different strokes for different folks, i guess

if love ever rears its head, that's when there'll be complications.

for me, it'd never work - i've thought about the idea and it leaves me stone cold. for me, it'd be such an empty way to live. plus i like the idea of some independence, enjoying the fact that i now my own wage and can pay all my own bills. to me it'd all smack of commodities and business and buying and selling when i view myself as something better than that; something more than an object or service with a price label. ok, at my age i'd not get a buyer anyway :D and i'm not saying you shouldn't live this way if it's good for you, just that it wouldn't work for me. maybe i'm just stupid and lack business acumen, for years giving away for free what could have been sold...

oooh no no no, I have a "regular/normal" full time job. I don't "have" to do this to make money. I do this to get extra because I can, and because I want to. I feel like in the case of the 2 particular guys, I'm doing them a huge service - giving them adoration and affection where otherwise they wouldn't, and it does give me a warm feeling knowing I'm making them feel good and pump up their egos.

Nothing pumps up a guys ego and self image like giving a couple grand to a chick to pay him some attention.

i'm sure you make them very very happy :)

if you'd do it anyway, without taking money for it, then it's honestly given and the money is more a genuine note of thanks from them to you. i'm sure, though, there are plenty out there who only give the 'adoration and affection' because it's the service they're getting paid for. it might sound as if i have a problem with prostitution - actually i don't. it ought to be legalised and cleaned up and made safe for sex workers everywhere. there are also many partners who remain in a relationship offering fake 'adoration and affection' in order to keep a roof over their head and home comforts/shopping pleasures. i simply don't like fakeism on any level.

Like Chupa chup said, each to their own.
As long as you're happy, Red.
You can do whateverthefuck you want with your life,
none of my business.

:)

Everyone is different, bud.

I think it goes to show how lame some men are.

Like I said I have no problem with prostitution. The real talent of an escort or whatever you wish to call yourself is the ability to create an illusion for her customer. The only problem for the man is when he steps out of the illusion thinking it is real.

I once heard a guy brag about how many times he made an escort cum. I just could not stop laughing.

HAHAHAHHA!!!!!!

That is so damn funny. Grumpy guy enjoys watching me with the hitachi. Sure, I can cum from that, but---it's because I've got my eyes closed and I'm fantasizing about TMWFM.

Sweet guy - well, he's got a rescue complex. I fear he wants to save me.

My dry cleaner, the chick who cleans the tanning bed when I'm done with it, and my nail/waxing guy probably feels the same way.

Be very careful about sweetguy. Professional Escorts would cease a relationship with guys like him because it tends to end up as a a stalker and later become violent. I'm going on the belief you are not yanking our chains and I do not wish anybody to get hurt. If you are going to do this activity play it safe. I know this industry very well like I said and listened to many horror stories from escorts. Be very wary.

You don't know as much about it as you pretend to. I know it probably won't prevent you from blathering on about sex work in the day-to-day but wanted to point it out.

On the surface this sounds good, but it's really an insipid analogy. What are you trying to say? Care to break it down? Is sex victimizing or painful for women by definition, (like....slavery or waitressing)?

It's such a weird thing to say too. Do you really see waitresses as glorified slaves? What about nurses, them too? Accountants crunching other people's numbers all day? Lawyers, married to the firm? All victims too? By your logic anyone/everyone probably is, but what you're trying to say isn't really based on logic is it?

And christ, "super sad" what are you 15?
